Visiting Monet's House and His Garden in Giverny, France

Giverny, France is located about 80km Northwest of Paris. By train it only takes about 1hour. Giverny is just outside of Ile-de-France. One of my flute friend and I decided to take a short day trip to Monet's House :) (photo album, here)

Monet lived in this house April of 1885~ December of 1926, until his death. Visiting his house was dreaming... His love of nature, love of art... No wonder why he have created so many wonderful art works, which people still love them, and they reconized the art work... Monet is know as Monet....

Weather was perfect. Weather focus was keep showing rain mark... until just day before we decided to go. Then it switched to cloudy. However, the day turned out very beautiful day!
In his garden, almost all flowers were blooming like crazy. They were so beautiful. It was still little bit eary for Roses, but it was amazing to see that many different kind of flowers...

Some flowers, I have never seen. They were very interesting. They were so perfect and almost hard to belive they are all in real....

Colors flowers... just breath taking.

Even a moth was beautiful at Monet's garden... He was very busy getting all nectar from flowers to flowers... :)

There was few roses blooming! Very beautiful... In few more weeks, there will be so much roses blooming for sure!

Bee... being busy also. This flower was very intense and interesting look!! Nature is very interesting thing...

After walking through his garden... for long time, we made our way to his famous Water Lily Pond. Monet has never been to Japan, however... he dicided to make his water lily garden some how like Japanese style...

There were bushes of bamboos planted also :) Asian... He has got a point... :)

His Water Lily Pond!!! It was so beautiful... There were so many different faces at this pond. No wonder why he has created so many beautiful paintings. We could really stay here forever... Even water is coverd with fluffs from dandelion, you can still see the refrection of the land scape...
And...!!! Water Lily!!! They were blooming :) They only boom in the morning, so we were kind of worried. However, we got to see so many of them! It was my first time seeing this flower... It was very pretty... :)
In his pond garden... I was in the dream. Air was so fresh, there were many people visiting... but it did not bother me. Time just went by, and we just took our breath... What a beautiful sight.

We walked around for very very long time. Our original plan was to spend few hours in his town, since it is pretty small... and many people have told to use few hours will be enough... :)
Well, not for me or my friend... Just in gardens, we took more than few hours... :) Before we visited inside of his house, we sat and enjoyed the moment surrounded by all fresh and natural flowers...






Then we walked some more of Giverny town, to go visit few more famous spots for Monet. One was the Poppy Flower field. They usually fully bloom around June... We were hoping to see some.

They were blooming! Too bad we did not have a parasol with us... like in Monet's painting... :)
They were all blooming to the sun... So pretty!

Then to our last stop... visiting church and Monet's family's grave yard. Which is just up on the hill.

Well, church was under constraction... and we could not go inside... However, there was huge curtain of Monet.... Pretty scary, but oh well... :)

I was very thankful for his wonderful work and sharing what he had with him back in then... Monet knew what he loved, and what he wanted, and who he is... That is why we all remember him after many many years of his death... You love your life, thats when you creat the most beautiful thing... and which people can reconize and remember for whole your life... It is very powerful thing. Being in artist in many ways, in the end, we are all same..... having same goal... His arts and French music goes so well together...
