DR's Road Trip 2011!

And here we go...!  My suits case is packed once again, and we are ready to hit the road tomorrow morning!!! DR's exciting summer has been started!  We just performed in a mini recital for the flute workshop in Madison this afternoon.  Knowing all the audiences are college students/ graduate students/ and adults... little bit nervous... well, quite bit nervous!!! However, it was a great experience.  I just really enjoy playing with Morgann! and very happy to know her!  This summer is one of the very special summer for us... Our very first performance in the national convention as a duo, and the concert is honoring our former professor, Mrs Jones!  Morgann and I met at the High School Flute Workshop given by Mrs Jones... all the way back in 2002! This is our favorite story to tell :)  We always lived miles away... but friendship was always there.  We ended up going to same school... During the undergraduate at OSU, we just had so much fun reading through many music... whenever we got bored with practicing or anything... She moved to Madison, I moved to France... we always kept in touch and made music together when ever we could... and now as, Dual Reveries flute duo.. voilla... Part of me wonders, how life would been, without meeting her at the flute camp back in high school... It would been quite boring... or very different... I wouldn't travelled to Paris either... which means i would not be living in Paris either... It is very interesting how life plays out some times :)  We are still both growing artists... but we both know, and sure there is something very strong thing holds us together...!

Anyhow, here we go! Road trip, and another exciting summer for us as a duo!  I have been looking for this trip for very long time, since I found out the we were accepted to perform in the convention back in early spring!

*12+hours driving to Tyrone, PA... where we will have recording session!

*9+hours driving to Tryon, NC... where we will give few concerts!

*1.5hours driving to Charlotte, NC... where we will be attending the NFA convention and performing!

*2.5hours driving to Florence, SC... where we will give last concert of the summer....


total of 26hours in the car, 1500miles!!!! (well, Morgann will be driving back... another 24hours of car ride for her....!!!!)
